Job Title:           Program Coordinator
Program:          Quality & Professional Development Services 
Reports To:      Assistant Executive Director

Summary

Under the general direction of the Assistant Executive Director develops and manages the implementation of the After School for All Partnership goals and objectives to increase quality of afterschool programs in the St. Louis Region. Provides training and technical assistance for Partnership programs and works closely with ARCHS and SLPS around Coordinating the System.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Plans and facilitates ASAP trainings for the Partnership programs.

Serves as the primary technical assistant for ASAP program sites providing on-site and off-site support and assistance with developing quality action and professional development plans.

Attend regular meetings with ARCHS staff, SLPS staff, Mayor’s Office staff, ASAP partners and others on behalf of U4C.

Provide reporting on accomplishments of training and technical assistance to stakeholders.

Work with Statewide organizations (such as OPEN, MOSAC2, MASN) to coordinate efforts and stay informed of trends.

Represents U4C in the community in a professional manner.

Participates in agency committees, events, and staff meetings.

Coordinates program and project scope of work with supervisor(s), key staff and funders, as needed, including staff training, budgeting and reporting.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in youth development or field related to education, three to five years experience working with youth in afterschool settings, knowledge of adult education; experience presenting training and willingness to prefect the craft or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree preferred. A minimum 3 years professional or management experience with non-school hour youth programs. Demonstrated experience with project planning, evaluation and assessment, public relations or other pertinent areas.

TRAVEL

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to travel to St. Louis city, county, surrounding counties plus various locations in Missouri, Illinois and attend regional and national meetings and conferences.
  • Must have Missouri or Illinois driver’s license and automobile insurance carrying the required level of liability insurance.
